TVI produced a report for Cultivating Collaboration about how Oban food distributor John Forteith was building alliances with food producers to guarantee locally-bred and cultivated high quality food for his customers all over Argyll and the Isles. Examples included a local pig farm and a shepherd working in the beautiful land around Oban.
Cultivating Collaboration is a project – run by the Scottish Agricultural Organisation Society – promoting greater collaboration among food producers all over Scotland. Argyll is home to some of the best quality food in Europe, and that’s important at a time when consumers want to know more about where their food comes from – its “provenance”. The video was made for a conference promoting collaboration and attended by the movers and shakers of the Scottish industry.
TVI filmed in the dead of winter in 2010, venturing along single track roads in the snow. But the story made it worth it.
